Communal TV upgrade for a social housing development
Upgrade works across three blocks fixed a problem that had been affecting tenants for some time. One block was still running from a roughly 30-year-old domestic-style amplifier. We also found the TV systems had originally been powered from the emergency lighting supplies, so every routine emergency lighting test cut the TV signal to tenants throughout the blocks.
- Replaced the domestic-style amplifier with a professional Profiler headend
- Set and balanced TV signal levels throughout
- Rewired the TV systems in all three blocks onto permanent supplies from the main switch room, neatly enclosed in conduit
- Separated the TV equipment from the emergency lighting circuits, so tenants keep their TV during lighting tests
- Full testing and commissioning
